WLANController

WLANController has two components, a software client that transforms Windows based computers into WiFi access points and scanners and a web based service that can manage multiple devices from a single graphical user interface. The WLAN Controller web interface and client make the deployment and management of large WiFi networks quicker, simpler and less costly. We eliminated the need for any new hardware and software (other than our client) by using the WiFi capabilities available in Windows.

BridgeChecker

BridgeChecker is a Windows and Mac OS utility that can automatically disable/enable wireless interfaces. Whenever your computer is connected to an Ethernet port and the link state is good, the utility can automatically turns off the IEEE 802.11 wireless network interface. This conserves IP address allocation, reduces security risks, resolves dual interface routing issues, and prolongs battery life.

WiFi Scanner

WiFi Scanner is a 802.11 wireless scanner and connection manager for Mac OS X. This will detect access points and clients in ad-hoc mode if the SSID is being broadcasted. It can be used for wireless site surveys, wireless discovery, and to connect to wifi networks. The tool reports signal strength in dBm and shows access point BSSID/MAC addresses.

Sensor Pro

Sensor Pro logs all device sensors to a file and also can send to a remote server / listener. This app is designed for use with AccessAgility's WiFi Scanner v1.4+ app as a remote GPS device. WiFi Scanner app is available on the Mac App Store. The WiFi Scanner app has a listener that receives GPS lat / long data from the Sensor Pro app and combines with WiFi interface statistics collected by the Mac OS WiFi Scanner app.

WiFiPerf

WiFiPerf is a bandwidth performance measurement app for iOS. The app can operate as a client and/or server. WiFiPerf can be used for iOS-to-iOS testing or iOS-to-Mac OS testing. WiFiPerf should work with other operating systems that support iPerf3 but has only been tested with iPerf3 for Mac OS.

iPad WiFi Survey

iPad WiFi Survey is an alternative to laptop based wireless LAN survey solutions. The app provides the core features needed for conducting WiFi surveys takes advantage of the iPad’s multi-touch user interface.

ZapPerf

ZapPerf measures the WiFi throughput of wireless LAN (WLAN) clients. ZapPerf sends fixed-duration bursts of full-length User Datagram Protocol (UDP) packets. The packet loss and inter- arrival times are closely monitored and reported.

iPerf2

iPerf2 (Mac OS, iOS) is a bandwidth performance measurement app for iOS and Mac OS. The app can operate as a client and/or server. iPerf2 can be used for Mac OS-to-Mac OS testing, Mac OS-to-iOS testing or iOS-to-Mac OS testing. iPerf2 should work with other operating systems that support iPerf2.x

WiFiMedic

WiFiMedic reports the vital signs of your WiFi connection. If your device is associated to an access point the app can report Access point manufacturer name, Access point MAC address, Access point network name (SSID), Access point signal strength in dBm (RSSI), Access point channel, Access point security type (Open, WEP, WPA, or WPA2), Associated data rate in Mbps and the IP address of WiFi connection.
